1 cup Yellow Moong Dhal
2 cups Water
1 Onion finely chopped
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Red Chilli Paste
1 Tbsp Tempering Spice Vegetarian
2 tsp Ghee or Butter
1 tsp Fresh Ginger Garlic Paste
1 tsp North Indian Spice
Finely Chopped Fresh Coriander
In a medium size pot add water and yellow moong dhal, cook on medium heat until Dhal is cooked, remove from heat and beat to a smooth consistency.
Add salt, North Indian Spice, Red Chilli Paste, mix well.
In a separate non-stick pan, add ghee or butter on medium heat, add ginger and garlic, tempering spice and onion, brown onions and roast spices well, remove and pour into the Dhal mixture.
Garnish with chopped Coriander.
Serve with rice, pickles, and roti.
